Last week, Uganda’s Big Break artist and Coke Studio first timer Alvin Kizz got a chance to work with two African superstars – Mozambique’s Messias Maricoa and Zimbabwe’s Winky D in the second episode of Coke Studio Africa 2019.

Easily one of the fastest rising stars in Uganda at the moment, Alvin Kizz is being touted as the next big star in East Africa. Known for his hits “Nkulowoozako”, “Tubalaba” and “Julia”, Alvin can be regarded as an all-round artist whose music endeared his fans to him at an early stage. Winky D is a Zimbabwean reggae-dancehall artist, known popularly as “The Big Man”, and also known as Dancehall Igwe while young musician Messias Maricoa hit the spotlight last year and has remained a resounding success to date.

In the episode, the three artists turned Alvin’s ‘Man Like Me’ track into a true African piece packed with multiple languages and dancehall beats all produced by Nigerian talent GospelOnDeBeatz.

“Everybody that has stepped on the Coke Studio stage is now an international artist. It is an absolute pleasure to join those ranks, and I can not wait to change my life and my career after this Coke Studio experience,” commented Alvin Kizz.

The episode was headlined by Paul Okoye aka Rudeboy – one half of the P Square iconic duo working alongside Kenya’s Khaligraph Jones to start the weekend party off right.
