Have you wondered how far your potential can go? Do you ever sit back and think about the power of your own will to attempt?

Nshuti Herve is a 21-year-old entrepreneur mostly interested in using science and technology to solve the world challenges and as well as a second-year student doing computer science. The young lad is also an IT project manager at Stanbic Bank National Schools Championship and the founder and C.E.O of iTech Africa.

This might look like a drafted C.V of a powerful tech celebrity, but nope, this is an average, young, hardworking gentleman from western Uganda. He was inspired by his own zeal for innovation, developing projects that solve certain challenges in the community like WASH TECH innovation he did with NWSC which he did to solve the problem of water borne diseases.
“There’s no other way I could fulfil my goal other than creating a platform (iTech Africa) for people who share a vision with me. iTech Africa came as a solution to software issues, but we also we realised we can’t give software to people who don’t own gadgets. Therefore, we had to establish a store where people can get the latest smart phones, laptops, etc. such that they can interact with our software at ease.” Says Nshuti when asked more about his inspiration.

Nshuti loves playing basketball, dancing, singing and entrepreneurship itself, though being a student limits his chance to participate in all this.
The enthusiastic gentleman expects iTech to reach at least 2 countries in east Africa within 5 years and also give jobs to 50 employees since he recruits 10 people every year. iTech also plans to launch mobile applications in the near future.
“Science and Tech in Uganda is a verge sector and our future is bright though we need support,” says Nshuti, “because its not all about going to school and completing. You shouldn’t just start projects and slap them in people’s faces: instead, you have to understand people’s problems and create solutions. That way, people will adapt to your standard easily.” He added.

Leaving final words for young people in Uganda he said, “It’s ridiculous how I ask a young man why he spends 12 hours on social media and they reply that they are building a brand. You can’t build a brand without a price; you might end on getting likes and views but not really earning a single penny from those likes and views. See how to earn money from whatever you’re doing; visit businesses and run adverts for them. Use your forum to do advocacy for different agenda, talk about equality. Let your growth in fame help improve the community, not just end on likes and views!”
