Weekends are always packed with a number of events from bar theme nights, festivals, road trips, house parties among many activities.

This previous weekend was one of a kind, where big events were held including the annual Ice cream and cake festival, the 2018 Buzz Teeniez Awards and the famous Deejay Ciza’s Barbecue House Party.

Sunday was also a celebration of the International Mothers’ day, a day meant to honor and remember the relentless work done by mothers in the world.

In this article, we focus on four events that were of big interest to pulsers and made headlines.

Buzz Teeniez Awards

Fik Fameica was the biggest winner at BTA18

The event took place on Saturday May 12th at UMA Hall in Lugogo, Kampala.

It was attended by a big crowd composed majorly of teenagers and High School students who are currently on holiday.

Fik Fameica was the biggest winner of the day, scooping three awards, including Male Artiste of the year, Teeniez Top Hood rapper of the year and Teeniez Hottest Hiphop song-Mafia.

Departed vocalist Radio Mowzey (RIP) got two awards; Teeniez Hottest gospel song – Tambula Nange and Teeniez Hottest song writer.

Ice Cream and Cake Festival

Happening for its third time, the event took place on Sunday May 13th at its usual venue, the Uganda National Museum.

Having coincided with Mothers’ day, the event was attended by top city socialites as well as youths who were giving their mothers a day’s treat.

With Music selected by lady Deejay Kathy among others, the event was graced by Fresh Boy Fik Fameica together with a couple of humorous emcees.

Ciza Barbecue House Party

Deejay Ciza started the idea of a House Party in 2017 and this was the second edition of the same.

The party which was hosted in Kiira Town Council, Wakiso District featured four pulser deejays including Wabz deejay, Tha Drop Out, Deejay Slaughter Elly and the host Deejay Ciza.

It was attended by hundreds of pulsers who jammed to dope hits selected by the lineup of deejays together with enjoying barbecue which was available in plenty.

The day was also marked by performances from young rapper J-Wats and singer Cosign who was premiering his collabo with Deejay Ciza,
