Organisers of the MTN Nyege Nyege festival have unveiled new tents which they hope will simplify and ease the camping experience for partygoers at the festival.
The tents were unveiled by the festival’s proprietor Derrick Debru on Friday May 18th at the MTN Nyege Nyege pre-party held at Design Hub, in industrial area, Kampala.
The festival is slated to take place from 6th to 9th September at the Nile Discovery Beach in Jinja.
According to Debru, the pop tents can be set up in less than 1 minute and can accommodate a group of people.
“They are setup in 30 seconds and can accommodate a group if you are looking to party,” said Debru.
At the same event, MTN announced the commencement of the sale of discounted tickets to the festival.
This announcement was made by the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Olivier Prentout.
According to Prentout, only 200 tickets are available at a discounted rate of 50,000 and can be purchased via MTN MoMoPay using Merchant code 116969.
The night, organized by Bell Lager and Uganda Waragi was characterized by a number of performances from cultural groups and a party hosted by Kampala’s finest deejays.
