If there’s anything some of us might be grateful for these past two years since the pandemic broke out is that it got us out of our comfort zones to start businesses of our own in order to earn some income.

At the time of the outbreak of the pandemic, Sybil Mujabi Diana was at Uganda Christian University pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. In July 2020 she decided to venture into business to start her own wholesale and retail online store she named “Snight Wear” that deals in male and female night wear, lingerie, house sandals, socks, bridal robs, new born night wear, and kids night wear.

“I didn’t even know much about taxes and imports until I started this business.  Taxes are mad high and crazy, finding the right suppliers to trust is really hard too, there are many crooks and everyone is trying to make you believe what they are saying is the truth , growing my business has been more challenging than I expected,” Sybil told MTN Pulse.

Irrespective of the challenges and the pandemic, the business will be hitting its two year mark next year…a true story of resilience.

Even if she had school and a business, she was able to create a balance between these 2 very demanding fields until she graduated this year. Just like Sybil, many pulsers have ventured into having online businesses in order to reach their clients as well as make some money.

“You never really know where customers come from but they surely come through . Advertise your business every single  day. Post and post content about your business,” Sybil advised pulsers with online businesses.

As you create your social media profiles for your business, remember to join the pulse nation so that you can Cr8 your own bundles tailored just for you to reach as many customers as possible.
