If there is something that many pulsers fight to deal with now days it is financial discipline. This is beyond saving but it goes as far as properly planning and prioritizing your income and living within your means.

Unlike many young people, Patsy Mugabi learnt about financial discipline at an early age and is now a financial educator to her peers and strangers.

Patsy, the money girl as she likes to call herself believes in sharing financial education in order to achieve financial freedom. Slaying bad debt and enabling people to make their money while it meets its purpose through budgeting, saving and investing are some of the things that give her good sleep at night.

Through her YouTube channel, blog and social media – on which she shares a lot on financial skills, she has impacted the lives of many youth that were at the verge of financial collapse. Using her background in financial economics she also offers one on one coaching sessions for people to help them get back in line of their true walk to financial freedom.

When MTN Pulse asked Patsy for a financial tip to all pulsers she said, “Check your mind maker and your mind is your money maker. There is a book called Straight forward financial growth where the author says Money will never hit your account or your wallet before it hits your mind. For me, I believe that money management is better than making money because making more money will not solve your bad spending habits.”

Aside being a financial educator, Patsy is also the proprietor of Murembo collection a jewelry store that deals in handmade brass jewelry. Murembo works with female artisans in Kenya who personally hand make earrings, bracelets, anklets, necklaces, nose rings, name it. They also go as far as customizing the jewelry that they also make. From Kenya, Murembo is able to ship their products to their different customers all over East Africa.

The store hit its two year anniversary and is already giving back to the community by partnering with brands such as 4040 and Qweshunga.
