If you’re a female pulser, getting your makeup done by yourself might seem a little hectic because you have to buy authentic makeup products which might be expensive and on top of that you need to learn how to draw your eyebrows, contour, draw wings, etc. All that just seems hectic and so we resort to make up artists.

Nantongo Daniella is one of those people that decided to take the cross for all of us by learning how to do makeup and buying her own authentic makeup products.

While at Makerere University Business School where she was pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in travel and tourism, Daniella discovered that she had an art and decided to perfect her skill with tutorials online and doing simple face beats on herself and her friends and since then she has evolved into being a fully flagged makeup artist with her business Ella’s glam.

“I chose makeup because I needed an outlet for my creative side and also it is a great way to network and put in my contribution to society by making people happy when I enhance their beauty,” Daniella told MTN Pulse.

She has been able to work on a number of personalities around town including Flavia Tumusiime, Miss Deedan, and she has also partnered with MultiChoice Uganda on various projects as a makeup artist.

However just like any female pulser struggles to find authentic beauty products in Uganda, Daniella said her biggest challenge is the taxes imposed when shipping in the products she uses.

Besides her makeup business, she also owns a jewelry store called Bling Corner Ug and in the long run she hopes to grow both businesses and eventually start her own line of eye cosmetic products.
