Latest News | 2019-04-08

It’s a new week and today, we are crushing on the man himself; Timothy Code. If you attended the recent Burna Boy concert in Kampala, you probably remember one of the hosts: Timothy Code. His birth name is Timothy Muhumuza although he uses Timothy Code in the entertainment industry. Code is a high school nickname he got from his mates at Greenhill Academy but it has turned out to be his brand name. He used to be a host on Skizzy; a show that used to air on Wednesday at 6pm on Urban TV.

Timothy Code is an award winning Ugandan hip hop artist and song writer. One of his big hits is called Enter the ring, a song that he did with A Pass. He has other songs like Shut it down, Hold on, and Revolution. He is one of the 100 young African artists that Mr. Eazi selected for the EmPawa Africa initiative. He actually dropped his brand new video called KITA on Friday under the initiative.

Aside from music, what people may not know is that he has a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Uganda Christian University. It is after his university that he became a host on Urban TV in 2016. Timothy is also a very outgoing person. He is naturally perky and a fun person to be around. When you meet him, he won’t stop you from having a good laugh with him or even getting a selfie. He is also very motivating for the young people. He encourages them to be go getters in life.

Amongst the things he is credited for is being smart all the time. Whether it is causal or official, he is always smart. He has mastered the art of wearing accessories. This is probably why the ladies love to be around him but then again his charming looks cannot be ignored. He is normally in the company of big dogs in the music industry like Navio.

In the next couple of years, he hopes that Timothy Code will not just be a name in Uganda’s entertainment industry but that it will be an East African brand power house doing music, events and so much more. He is a man on the rise in the entertainment industry, someone who will be one of Uganda’s or better yet East Africa’s next big thing.
