Pulse Movie: Sing 2 is the Perfect for a Christmas Movie Night With Family

Latest News | 2021-12-17

Remember Sing? The 2016 animation? Yeah, you need to watch it before you jump on this one. Just for context’s case and because I will shamelessly give you spoilers of the first one in this review, since my assumption is that Pulsers are trendy and possess on-the-tip-of-the-fingers updates in most of the topics that interest us.

Refusing to forsake his father’s once-glorious theatre, Buster Moon, a slightly delusional showman, finds himself in dire straits when he sees the ticket sales rapidly decline. However, in one of those spur-of-the-moment decisions, the visionary’s mind will give birth to a simple, yet fantastic idea to save his business that no one would be able to resist: a singing competition.

Now, every sunny daydreamer in town gets a chance to shine–and as the word of a $100.000 grand prize spreads like wildfire, causing a big commotion in the city–the stage is set for the ultimate musical showdown. From tiny, yet overconfident alto saxophonists to heavenly voiced but bashful soloists, anybody can dream big; after all, “all creatures great and small” are welcome to compete in the Moon Theatre.

Like they say, the rest is history. The finest of the competitors get to overcome their greatest of troubles to sing it out and discover themselves, make new friends and get appreciated by family better. They become superstars.

In Sing 2, the task seems harder. Buster Moon and his now all-star cast of animal performers prepare to launch a dazzling stage extravaganza in the glittering entertainment capital of the world. There’s just one challenge, he has to find and persuade the world’s most reclusive rock star to join them. What begins as Buster’s dream of big-time success soon becomes an emotional reminder of the power of music to heal even the most broken heart.

The movie will be released to the world on December 22nd, right in time for the Christmas holidays. Everything you need to bring your family together to a movie night is right in place.

The movie stars Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Taron Egerton, Scarlett Johansson, Tori Kelly, Bobby Cannavale, Letitia Wright, Eric André, and Pharrell Williams among others.
