Pulse plot: DJs and Dancers to Compete for Cash at Evoke Night’s Season 3 Premier
Latest News | 2019-04-25
After two seasons of end-of-the-month entertainment shows by Evoke Night in several spots around Kampala and most recently on the new bridge in Jinja, the organizers are ready for the premier of Season 3 at Forest Mall Parking on Friday 26th starting 7pm.
The premier event that has been dubbed “The Rebirth” will according to Jeremiah Ainebyona, the Digital and Comms Lead at Evoke – tell a story of new beginnings and conquer unexplored territory because unlike the previous seasons where talent was given a stage to entertain, this time talent will compete.
“We are a lifestyle Magazine experienced, not read. We inspire urban youths through our entertainment elements including; Rap, Vocal play, Spoken Word, Live DJ, Film, Live Band, Dance and Fashion” Ainebyona said in a statement.
Six participants have been selected from the DJ and Dancers audition and they will battle to take home the 1M cash prize in front of a panel of judges that will hold 60% of their fate. The other 40% will fall to the crowd who will be voting using Club Pilsner (Event Sponsors) bottle tops. The more the bottle tops a contestant collects, the higher their chances.
Evoke Night is a brainchild of Fine Media Ltd and is sponsored by Tuliyo and Club Pilsner. Besides the competitions, it will feature performances by Laker (a poet), Adore, Noble: the beat boxer, Afrikane, Evoke band, DJ Ssese and various Fashion showcases.
Entrance to the event will be 20,000 UGX and 10,000 UGX for Campusers with their School IDs. Tickets can be obtained online from https://olypages.com/
