Pulse WCW: Former Miss Uganda UK Jan Mukiibi, Passionate About Tradition and Culture
Latest News | 2019-08-07
Miss Uganda UK (United Kingdom) is another prestigious beauty pageant that our girls living in that part of the world take part in every year. Like our own pageant here at home, the organization looks out for young, beautiful, ambitious and witty girls that carry our flag in the UK.
In 2017/2018, Jan Mukiibi was crowned Miss Uganda UK and we’re crushing on her today because her memory lives on till today. A Medicine student at the moment, she already secured a BioMed degree and she’s still aiming higher.
When she was crowned, she didn’t just sit back and relax. Jan had an aim to make society better than she left and she set right to it. Prioritizing education, safety and health, she didn’t just headline activities to better those sectors among the Ugandan community in UK but she did the same back home in Uganda.
Passionate about children, she ran a project during her reign that was about curbing child sacrifice, a monster vice that had become so common in Uganda.
A Muganda girl by tribe, culture and tradition, she effortlessly rocks traditional Buganda attire for a girl living in the UK.
If you think you’re passionate about your tradition and country, you need to meet Jan.
A beauty pageant that outlives her reign and shines on even in ‘retirement’ is always someone to look out for. Upto now, she is still able to rally charitable organisations to join her and help communities all around the country. A massive feat for a girl of her age.
She is a Vlogger and Brand Ambassador and if you ask me, one of the best there is out there. Check her work out on her You Tube channel (Jan Mukiibi) or connect with her on Instagram @janmukiibi_ by getting sleek and affordable data bundles from MTN Pulse. Dial *157# to get started.
