It is very hard to by pass a pretty ambitious young woman anywhere, not even on social media like Instagram. You always have to stop and as we say nowadays, Stan a Queen.

Monic, or Mona as most of her friends know her is one such Ugandan. Blessed by nature, like her country, she commands striking beauty that is not even worthy for our social media. She needs uninterrupted internet, hehehe!

A graduate from the Makerere University School of Education, Mona is a qualified teacher with strong business acumen. This explains why you’ll rarely find her nails tainted with chalk. But that’s not the only available form of teaching, is it?

Talking to MTN Pulse, Mona emphasized that because employment isn’t guaranteed in the current world – young people have to literally “get their hands dirty” with their hustle to make ends meet.

“Whatever business you choose or can afford to set up, I’d advise that you go ahead. I understand there are risks involved, but our lives are meaningless without risks. So go ahead.” She said.

Straight from Campus, Mona set up a boutique in town that she named Mona Fashions and also entered the cake making business. All of which still stand, and customers keep coming.

“My friends and I knew correctly that there can never be enough money to sustain our dreams while we are still in the morning hours of professions. So we unanimously agreed to hustle and we shall hustle.” Mona added.

She called upon young people to carefully select mentors in life that they should always talk to whenever they get stuck. These, she says, can always advise you before you take risks and motivate you while at it.
