If you know Ms Murungi, you’ll also know that she just graduated from Makerere University Business School (MUBS) where was doing Human Resource Management and now you’re wondering how she made it to the position of Director in a Construction Company, not so?
Well, our Wednesday Crush Woman today didn’t come to play.
Described by her friends as fun, hardworking and social, Murungi is not just a Director like we mentioned in the title. She didn’t want to waste her degree and is working as a Human Resource Officer at a company called Edwin Farmers Limited but that is not why we are here.
We are here because, in her early twenties, she is a director in another company called Apomu International Limited. Even while studying human resource at MUBS, her heart has always been with real estate and construction and with this company, Murungi is living the dream.
Asked how she managed to pull it off, she said it was just consistency. “Honestly, I kept bugging my parents with my passion for construction and real estate and it finally worked out” she told MTN Pulse.
At the moment they have capacity to do all civil works including roads and bridges.
Murungi advises youth to look at being employed as secondary. She says it should be the last resort when you have failed to employ yourself.
“I’d advise the youth to think more about self employment. Start small, save and pray. They shouldn’t be scared of taking as many risks as possible because that’s how they will find their breakthrough” she said.
