Rebecca Ainembabazi, otherwise fondly referred to as Becky among her friends was born just a few years before 2000. I have decided to hide the real date to avoid unnecessary anxiety among our readers.

She has been a beauty queen as early as she could remember. When she joined Bushenyi based Bweranyangi Girls SSS for her O-level education, a beauty pageant was introduced and she became Miss Bweras for three consecutive years (2010, 2011 and 2012). Now, that is how you make an entrance!

She was to later join Nalya SS Namugongo for her A-level and Makerere University for her degree (Ethics and Human Rights). But like a natural born beauty queen, Becky continued her quest. In 2016/2017, she conquered her Alma mata when she was crowned the Face of Makerere, beating off competition from about 50 other girls and consequently led the project’s charitable fight against breast cancer.

In 2018 she was crowned Miss Tourism Ankole and that pretty much sums up our Wednesday Crush Woman today. For every stage in beauty pageants she has been, she has conquered and emerged victorious. The only pageant we’re yet to see her winning is Miss Uganda I believe.

One of the most distinguishing features about her (besides the fact that she is so beautiful) is her height. She is so tall, she towers around her friends every time they hang out. She is 6 ft.

On modelling, she advises young people to look at what they’re going to get out of it, rather than what they’re going for. “Maybe your role model is a swimsuit/lingerie model but if it is going to affect your family and self esteem in Uganda, then leave it for the sake of dignity. Always set your goals first.”
