Misheline Mutuzo or as most of you may know (until recently used to go by the alias Some Ka Chic on Twitter – she has since changed to her name) is a freelance model, a former beauty queen and an entrepreneur in the rapidly growing cleaning business of Uganda.

We could not put all that in the headline, we are not the lot that digs headlines that go up to tomorrow (sorry Daily Mail).

Perhaps the most interesting bit about our WCW today is the fact that she picked up that song at literally every graduation ceremony of “go and be job creators, not job seekers” and she is actually making it work.

Her cleaning company, Miss Clean Sanitation Services, does general cleaning and fumigation of homes, commercial buidlings.

As of the beginning of the year, the former student of Makerere University and MTAC was employing over 10 people in her cleaning hustle. Amazing, if you ask me!

“Cleaning seems simple. You’d imagine that all you need to make it work is just liquid soap and rags really. But is it?” Mutuzo told MTN Pulse in an interview.

Her dream however, wasn’t going to limit her to just cleaning one bedroom apartments and studio rooms. She imagined a big cleaning entity that would have her taking over cleaning of big commercial buildings in town.

“We have an office at Equatorial Mall, Room 523 if you want to pass by and give us business.” She said cheekly.

She observes that there is no easy job. Not even cleaning that we all think we have done in our own places.

“Our cleaning is not just mopping the floor. We make sure that we leave no trace of dirt or cob web in your house. Our areas of focus are areas you love to ignore and those are in every house.” Mutuzo said.

She advises young people to not rush in business. She says one needs to take their time and study the venture they’re going into before taking the risk because all business is risk.

“If you have planned however, the negative implications of risk would not hit you so hard.” She said.

Ms Mutuzo thanks social media users in Uganda for embracing hustles of fellow young people and disclosed that she has got over 100 clients from social media.

“I am sad whenever I see the policy makers seeking to make harder the usage of the internet and social media with more taxes because they keep very many potential clients and referrals away.” Mutuzo said.
