“Young people must love Twitter, especially the boys because they can just post opinions and never have to worry about posting their pictures.” Mark Mwine Guma, today’s social media king disclosed when we asked why he has only made 03 posts to his Instagram in 2021.

A graduate of Electrical Engineering from Makerere University, @finally_guma on Instagram is @markopolo94 on Twitter. A seasoned influencer, he has grown his social media presence with constant engagement and interaction with mostly his friends.

“The hustle is never about followers. We are on social media for a good time. I have 6K followers but that’s nothing if I can’t relate with any of them.” Guma disclosed.

He says he’d be comfortable having 10 followers as long as 5 or 6 understand him and can relate to the things he posts.

“I love Twitter because it is current. Sometime I don’t have to watch news and I’ll be brought to speed once I log in.” He said.

He says the other social media sites are more about social life than news and information. That you’ll log in on Facebook on a day when the LDC results have been released but the first thing you’ll see are your friend’s wedding pictures from a week ago.

Guma, advises young people to seek happiness and a good time on social media if they want to get the best out of it.

“There’s a lot of stress in life and at work, we shouldn’t seek to pile it up with social media. Avoid conversations and people that stress you online, that way, you’ll have a good time.” He said.

His biggest fear online is the inconsistency of the availability of the internet due to security reasons and politics. He said if it were up to him, it’d be compulsory for every Ugandan to have an online presence.

As a statement of good bye, Guma asked us to tell you that if you choose to follow him, get ready to read “agsjjdgstbekowgqvskdhyev” off his timeline every-time Liverpool scores.
