MCM: Meet H2C Dancer, Denis Ntembe Who Is Using Dance To Create Change

Dance is a way we can communicate a lot of things and for Dtrix, dance is something that he is very passionate about. Denis Ntembe aka Dtrix Parker 14 is a professional dancer with a popular dance group in town called H2C which stands for Here 2 Change.

Dtrix and his two friends David and Cedric have used their talent of dance to inspire very many pulsers to use their passion and talents to build brands. If you have watched Beenie Gunter and Skales’ Olina Work, they are the dancers in the video. They have also danced in videos for Judith Babirye, Voltage music, Ykee Benda, David Lutalo and the list goes on and on. H2C has also gone ahead to hold dance classes to the public every Friday at Fitness Junction at a fee of only 20,000shs.

For Dtrix, dance is everything to him.  It helps him express his emotions, thoughts and feelings. Although he studied Development Economics, he has chosen to take his talent and passion for dance to the next level. He has collected a number of awards from dancing at the TUM awards 2017, Krump winner 2016 and 2019 and he was also the Krump UG 1 on 1 face off Winner in 2016.

Pulse MCM: Meet The Musical Darling Creating Our Own Jamaica In Uganda’s Music Industry

By the title of this article, You already know its Beenie Gunter we are talking about. The music industry in Uganda is one of the fast-growing industries with so many people venturing into music. However, the real gist is the ability to make hit music that people will love. Beenie Gunter is one of the few young artists that has been able to grow and make it in the music industry. His real name is Baguma Crescent and only uses Beenie Gunter as a stage name.

The 25-year-old artist had his breakthrough earlier last year with his song ‘Tubayo.’ He had some music before, that stayed underground but through perseverance and determination, he is now a big name in the music industry. He has done collabos with a number of Ugandan artists like Lydia Jazmine, Navio, Big Tril and last year when Kranium was in the country, the two met in studio to record a collabo.

His style of music is catchy and trendy since it is dancehall. Many Ugandans love Jamaica because it is where dancehall music comes from. Beenie Gunter has been able to grasp the dancehall music style and thereby creating for us our own Jamaica in Uganda. His popular use of Patois, a Jamaican language has also made him stand out in his craft. He has hits such as Olina work, Pon Mi, Kill a man, Watto, Giddem and one of his newest collabos No letting go with Lydia Jazmine.

He also happens to be an O.B of St. Mary’s SS Kitende where he completed his A’level. He however has no plans of furthering his studies and would rather focus on building and grooming his talent. He will soon be releasing a new album titled ‘No Fear’. The 25-track album has features with Bennie man, Skales, Gyptian, Eddy Kenzo among others.

Deejay LL and Bennie Gunter’s “Commando” Video Released

The “No offence” singer Beenie Gunter and a renown city Deejay, Deejay LL released the music video of their song titled “Commando” on Monday 4th, February.

The song lyrics talk about a babe who lives a commando-like life and is a sensation when it comes to whining on the dance floor.

The Commando song was produced by Smart Keys, mastered by Stern and video directed by Kazibwe Dantie.
