Have you ever wondered why your status views are low? or perhaps wonder how that annoying stalker got a screenshot of your status and shared it but you can’t see them on you seen screen?

Well, there are about 3 reasons and here they are;

When one disables ‘read receipts’ for WhatsApp statuses, they don’t appear on your seen / ‘stalker’ list. However, when you disable read receipts, you will not be able to view those that have seen your status. Here is a small hack on how to do this. Visit the privacy setting in your WhatsApp, access the settings, click on accounts, choose privacy, disable the “Read receipts”, by un checking this option.

This can also be done through the use of third party WhatsApp applications. I discourage people from using third party WhatsApp apps like WhatsApp+, WhatsApp GB and the like. Much as they have features such as hiding your status views, viewing ‘delete for all’ messages, these apps often do not match up to the security levels of the official WhatsApp app. But there is always that creepy ninja who will risk his chats just to stalk you without you knowing.

The hardest and most geeky way that definitely works for some is refreshing screens in the app. Users who refresh their screens in the app and look for the statuses in media folders of their android phones can also view your statuses without being seen.

When you go to the WhatsApp folder in the phone, look for media. You will find a new folder called “statuses” appearing in your list. When you open it, you will find all the statuses from your contacts in your phone. The biggest problem is that you will not be able to know who used that status, because it does not show.

Some also claim that when you turn off data and view a loaded status then close the app on iOS or force close WhatsApp on android you can still pass as a ghost status viewer. Well to be honest I found this as a hit or miss and I wouldn’t advise it.

But to be honest, the hustle to hide isn’t real and most times not worth it because it takes one mistake to be caught and you become that creepy guy.

At Least, you learnt how creepy people check on you and the creepy person just learnt some new tricks.
